Launch of Our New Website

It has been on our to do list for a while, and now we have finally done it. A brand new design for our YourSite website has been launched.

We have been busy updating our website with all the current features in the YourSite system, so why not check it out and see if there are new features that you can make use of on your website.

As you can see from the screenshot we have matched our newsletter layout to our new website.  This is a great way of reinforcing your branding identity to your customers.

Let us know what you think of our new design, and if you have been thinking that your website needs a fresh look contact us to discuss your ideas.

Introducing Newsletters at YourSite

Email Newsletters keep customers informed and in touch with the company. If you don't have a newsletter, then publishing one is probably the simplest action you can take to improve your Internet presence.

What should you put in your newsletter? The first step is to define your audience.  Give your newsletter a name, and think about its purpose. Include anything you think your readers and customers might find of interest. It doesn't have to be business related either. Keep the content fresh, fairly brief and make it useful.

The YourSite Newsletter uses an "opt in" approach. Subscribers enter their email address through your website and then have to validate the address after receiving a link to click in their email (subscribe to our newsletter to see how this works). This prevents your list being abused with fake sign-ups and makes sure your readers really want to receive the newsletter.

If you would like to add Newsletters to your website, contact Brett at YourSite Web Solutions now.

Tips to Improve Your Website

What can you do to maximise the return on investment for your website and lead directly to higher sales and increased customer loyalty?

  1. Informative Product Pages - you need detailed product information, but it must be written in a way that makes sense to people who aren't experts in your field.
  2. High-Quality Photography - one of the simplest ways to improve product pages is to show better photographs.
  3. Simplified Text - better writing is probably the single most important improvement you can make to your site. Use one idea per paragraph, meaningful sub-headings and bulleted lists to aid readability.
